Residential Properties Ltd. is excited to announce that the Barrington Education Foundation (BEF) has added Karen Occhialini, a respected Barrington real estate professional and active community member, to its committee. Occhialini was unanimously voted onto the board and will be officially welcomed at BEF’s upcoming meeting on Wednesday, November 19, at Barrington High School.
A longtime Barrington resident, Occhialini brings both professional expertise and a passion for community engagement to her new role. Her commitment to supporting education and local initiatives aligns closely with BEF’s mission to enhance the educational experience for all Barrington students.
“As both a parent and a community member, I’ve seen firsthand how the Barrington Education Foundation enriches our schools,” Occhialini said. “I’m honored to join such a dedicated group of volunteers and excited to contribute to projects that inspire creativity and innovation in the classroom.”
Founded in 1992, the Barrington Education Foundation is a volunteer-led nonprofit organization dedicated to the support and enrichment of all students within the Barrington Public Schools. Over the past three decades, BEF has raised and awarded more than $1.3 million to fund a wide range of educational programs, innovative technology, and teacher-led initiatives. Through its annual grant cycle, BEF awards two types of grants – SPARQ Grants (under $750) and Traditional Grants (over $750) – to return raised funds directly to Barrington schools, benefiting students across all grades and buildings in the district.
