Residential Properties Ltd. is excited to announce that President & CEO Sally Lapides was honored by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Rhode Island with the Award for Natural Mentoring, which recognizes individuals who empower others through authentic connection and support. For over two decades, Lapides has exemplified generosity and a steadfast commitment to mentorship through her involvement with Big Brothers Big Sisters. At the event held Thursday, October 23, at Kirkbrae Country Club, she was celebrated for her dedication to uplifting members of the community.
“Big Brothers Big Sisters reminds us that mentorship is one of the most powerful investments we can make, not just in an individual, but in the strength and future of our entire community,” Lapides said. “When we take the time to guide, encourage, and believe in someone, the impact extends far beyond that single relationship. It creates a ripple effect of confidence, compassion, and possibility that touches families, neighborhoods, and generations to come.”
As the President of a woman-owned, family-run company, Sally Lapides has instilled her values throughout every aspect of Residential Properties’ operations, fostering an inclusive environment with a deep commitment to the people and communities we serve. In addition to Big Brothers Big Sisters, she has been involved in many important causes, from The Rhode Island Foundation's Equity Action Campaign Committee, which raised $1 million for the LGBTQI+ community, to serving on the board of Year Up Rhode Island, which helps close the opportunity gap for young adults.
