Success in a shifting landscape

Rhode Island mirrored the nation’s year of change with economic news, the NAR lawsuit settlement, and the evolving use of AI in modern business. Statistically, the Ocean State started 2024 with a total of 657 single-family homes on the market, with a median home price of $539,000 and an average price per square foot of $388.06. At the start of 2024, the median days on market (DOM) was 56 days and remained at 56 days at the end of the year. Rhode Island started the year with 23.29% of homes taking a price cut. Finally, Altos’ proprietary Market Action Index (MAI) shows that Rhode Island started 2024 as a seller's market, with an MAI score of 55; by the end of the year, the MAI had increased to 57 – a seller's market.
