Residential Properties Ltd. recently celebrated the astounding 2024 sales success of its dedicated agents at its “Past Meets Progress” annual company meeting on February 26. Among those highlighted were the company’s top 3 individual agents and top 3 teams, who reached and exceeded goals throughout the previous year. With an already fiery start to 2025 off the back of RPL’s targeted Newport County expansion, including the addition of two Jamestown brokerages and the recruiting of 13 former Compass Watch Hill agents, the company took a pause to appreciate the hard work, innovation, and community involvement of its 250 agents.
RPL Sales Associate Jim DeRentis was the company’s #1 agent for the year and Rhode Island’s top agent statewide with an outstanding total of $112 million in sales volume and 96 sides sold. Sales Associate Gerri Schiffman, a 31-year veteran of Residential Properties with an unmatched record for consistent excellence, earned $58.5 million in sales volume for the year with 50.5 sides sold. Sales Associate Rachael Dotson finished 2024 with an impressive $33.9 million in sales volume and 53 sides sold. These three Providence office agents have refined their skills to a high degree, bringing utmost efficiency, productivity, and determination to their work each day. Their professionalism under any circumstance has resulted in repeat and referral business throughout the years that translates into significant annual sales volume.
The company’s top three teams are all based out of RPL’s Cumberland office. The #1 Team for 2024 was the Geddes/Dupuis Team; Janice Geddes and Simone Dupuis; who achieved $17.3 million in sales volume with 30.5 sides sold. The #2 Team was the Bessette Veloso Group; Brett Bessette, John Bessette, and Scott Veloso; earning $13.8 million in sales volume with 28 sides sold and leasing 214 apartments. The #3 Team in the company was the Leading Group; Sara Heathcote, Ali L’Heureux, and Robert Williamson; with $10.6 million in sales volume and 23 sides sold.

Derentis received another mention at the meeting during the presentation of RPL’s Legacy Awards, when he and three of his colleagues were spotlighted for having been with Residential Properties for 15 years.
Residential Properties Ltd. achieved the #1 ranking according to State-Wide MLS data for total units sold in 2024 with 1,382.5 and reached a total sales volume for the year in excess of $1 billion. Beyond these numbers, the company’s success as a decades-long part of the Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts community was also highlighted at Wednesday’s meeting. RPL worked with 38 community partners through charitable efforts during the year in addition to other office-wide and agent-led initiatives.
Community action efforts highlighted during the meeting included company-wide Toys for Tots donations during the holidays, premier sponsorship of the Women's Classic road race on October 13 benefitting Ronald McDonald House, Project Snug Soles sock drive in support of Amos House, fundraising for Crossroads RI, volunteering at the Federal Hill House food pantry, a Habitat for Humanity build in Hopkinton, a Back to School shoe drive for Casey's Kicks partnering with the Boys and Girls Club, and more.
