Residential Properties Ltd. is excited to announce that Sales Associate Sarah Maurer has joined the team of expert real estate professionals at our Westport office. Originally from Dartmouth, MA, Sarah spent several years living in Philadelphia until 2011, when she and her husband Jason, a licensed architect with 20 years of experience, moved back to New England to start a family. She and Jason created Sandbar Design Co., a business focused on everything you could need for your property, including architecture, construction project management, property management, and interior design. In addition, Sarah brings to RPL more than 18 years at Lilly Pulitzer focusing on color and fabric development, recently tasked with consulting on the launch of their home line.
Customized service on the South Coast
Sarah started in real estate in 2021, pairing her concierge real estate services with the offerings of her company Sandbar Design Co. This year, she launched Sandbar Home, a store in Padanaram Village providing old-school Florida vibes to transform interiors into inviting spaces. Throughout her life, she has cherished her South Coast roots and brings this enthusiasm to everything she does. “I love smaller coastal communities,” Maurer added. “They are hidden treasures along the South Coast. When I lived in Philly, it was landlocked, which made me so nostalgic for our serene seaside. I needed to see, smell, and hear the ocean to feel at home.”

She is currently on the board of directors at the Buttonwood Park Zoo, which not only provides a unique and original setting, but also a critical sense of community for families of its neighboring towns. Sarah also prizes her own family. In fact, Sandbar Design Co. was created in part to keep her and her husband closer to home and focused on the South Coast. “We are a family affair,” Maurer noted. “Talk about work-life blend – any job we take on, the clients will get to know our girls, Mila, six, and Livie, 10. They are right by our side and are always respectful, polite, and full of personality.”
Having bought a small bungalow in 2016 in Padanaram and renovating it into their forever home, Sarah and her family love to create, craft, and engage with the community. Trips to Florida keep her au currant with Palm Beach style and help inform her chic, whimsical sense of design. Now with all of RPL’s firepower behind her and her company, Sarah is excited for this new chapter in creating the best real estate experiences for her clients. “I am looking forward to growing our limb of real estate with Residential Properties,” Maurer said. “To me, our clients are our everything and totally motivate our drive for success.”
