Residential Properties Ltd. is excited to announce that Sales Associate Jocelyn Riley has joined the talented team of real estate professionals at our Cumberland office. Jocelyn earned her bachelor’s degree in business management with a minor in visual arts from Roger Williams University. She spent five years at the Rhode Island Lottery in the marketing department as their Public Affairs Supervisor. Today, as one of RPL’s newest agents, she interweaves marketing, social media, customer relations, and strategic thinking skills to cater to her clients’ goals. Born and raised in Bristol before moving with her husband to South Kingstown four years ago, Jocelyn brings a genuine love of both the East Bay and South County.
Around the state – around the clock
Whether walking Colt State Park or strolling Narragansett Beach, Jocelyn is a proud Rhode Islander, enjoying every region in every season. “There’s no place I’d rather be,” Riley said. “The beach is a place of peace for me, as are the many walking trails of Charlestown and Richmond. I find being around natural beauty inspires my creative thinking.” Jocelyn owned a home prior to meeting her husband, giving her firsthand experience of the challenges experienced by first-time buyers as well as the needs of independent people looking for a home to suit their lifestyle. In addition, she has spent many hours carefully watching and helping her father renovate and establish multi-family and single-family homes.
As driven and determined as she is in her career, Jocelyn sought a nurturing, collaborative environment for her work as an agent. After more than a year working with another brokerage, she felt the need for a change. “I’m so happy to have joined Residential Properties,” Riley added. “RPL offers the training, services, and support I need to best serve my clients. In this business, anything can happen at a moment’s notice, and the around-the-clock support the company provides is without peer.”
Always looking forward
As a mom of young children and pets, she offers clients informed advice on what a home needs to comfortably house a family. Jocelyn lives the lifestyle she sells; when not working, she can be found playing board games, kicking a soccer ball around the backyard, and simply making new memories with her family. She is also a local business booster, frequenting neighborhood establishments and spreading word of mouth or sharing on social media. As summer approaches, Jocelyn and her husband love savoring a locally brewed draft from Tilted Barn Brewery in Exeter or Shaidzon Beer Co. in West Kingston. From South County to the East Bay, she is constantly discovering new coffeehouses, restaurants, shops, and more to enjoy.
Looking ahead, Jocelyn is keen to continue learning about her clients and anticipating their needs. Now at RPL, she wants to attain additional credentials and certifications to advance her real estate expertise, especially those centered around design/staging and serving diverse groups. “I want to eliminate any stresses by providing my clients with a seamless transaction,” Riley said. “I will be their liaison, confidant, and advocate throughout the process. The hallmarks of my brand are solid core values and ethics, as well as a strong belief in forward-looking positivity.”
