Residential Properties Ltd. proudly announces that Sales Associate Mariyah Hultquist has joined the outstanding team of real estate professionals at our Cumberland office. Mariyah is a native Rhode Islander with substantial knowledge of the area and is licensed in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
Steady success
Born in Lincoln, Mariyah moved with her family to southern New Jersey, then back to RI in 2014, attending Lincoln High School. With an extended family of Rhode Island natives, she remained closely tied to The Ocean State throughout her upbringing. “I have been familiar with Rhode Island since childhood,” Hultquist said. “Since returning to Lincoln, my love for RI has only intensified. There is so much variety to enjoy, from different neighborhoods and geographies to the four seasons and flourishing cultural scenes. Plus, you can’t beat the ready access to swimming and skiing.”
A gradual and thoughtful journey into real estate began after Mariyah earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration, with a focus in entrepreneurship, from Johnson & Wales University. She then spent a year working in property management in Florida, attaining both tenant-facing skills and specific industry knowledge. Most recently, she sharpened her marketing and sales talents at a manufacturing and engineering corporation in Lincoln.
Learning and listing
Mariyah’s familial connections proved critical in selecting a real estate brokerage. "I called up my family member Alexander Raheb, a local attorney, for suggestions on where to start my new career,” Hultquist noted. “He mentioned Ryan Antrop, Cumberland Broker Manager with RPL, and Ryan and I had an extremely productive conversation. He has been a valuable sounding board and superb mentor ever since.”
Energized by this new opportunity, Mariyah still enjoys moments to pause and spend time with her boyfriend Trevor, a fellow Lincoln High School grad, and her cat named Cali. Physical fitness and exploration of southern RI help ground her physically and spiritually, but new career trainings and studies are always around the corner. Mariyah is focused on the latest marketing strategies and techniques, as well as home staging, interior design, and residential construction/renovation. “I’m excited to meet new people and advise them through the complexities of real estate,” Hultquist added. “I look forward to pursuing additional courses and seminars to better educate myself and add value to my license. Whether I’m working with first-time buyers or anyone with changing needs, I’m excited to help guide and support people on the road to their homeownership goals. ”
