Residential Properties Ltd. is excited to announce the addition of Sales Associate Holly Mollicone to the team of real estate professionals at RPL’s East Greenwich office. Holly comes to RPL with an extensive background in marketing and events, starting her own corporate events company in 2011. With uncertainty around event planning during the pandemic, Holly felt it was the perfect time to pursue her other career interests – real estate and interior design. In February of this year, she earned her real estate license and is currently enrolled in RISD's Interior Design Certificate program.
Life events
Holly grew up in the cornfields of Central Illinois and moved to Chicago after college, where she earned a B.A. in communication. Out of college, she spent two years at Sandler O'Neill as an executive and marketing assistant for their investment banking group, working with C-Suite executives. Subsequently, Holly worked four years at The Wall Street Journal Office Network as the Director of Events, where she sold their services to Fortune 500/1000 brands and activated their marketing events across the country. After the company was purchased, she began her own business called Events At Work, activating nationwide marketing events for Fortune 500 brands at premier office and residential buildings. After eight years living in Chicago, she met her husband John, a professional sailing coach at Brown University. For the past 10 years, they have been proud to call Rhode Island home. “I love the plethora of year-round activities and places to visit that are just a short car ride away,” Mollicone said. “I’m always outside and active, so having access to the beach, boating, hiking, biking, and skiing is a dream for me. You get the perfect balance here because we have such easy access to Boston and New York City as well, on top of Providence’s robust array of shopping, restaurants, bars, culture, festivals, and markets.”
Eager to get the ball rolling on her new career in 2022, Holly consulted RPL Broker Manager Michele Caprio and RPL Sales Associate Debbie Mann, a friend from the East Greenwich Yacht Club. “I knew right away that Michele has a managerial style that is ideal for me and that Deb would be a helpful mentor,” Mollicone noted. “They also gave me the sense that RPL would be the best place to build a career as a successful real estate agent while still being a mom to my daughter. I appreciate that the company supports my efforts to focus on using my sphere, farming my neighborhood, and social media to generate my business. RPL has earned its reputation by providing a rare personal touch while offering the corporate and marketing support of a much larger organization. As a bonus, all of my colleagues have been extremely friendly and supportive.”
From sails to sales
Living in the Glen Hills area of Cranston near Garden City, Holly, her husband, and three-year-old daughter Ava enjoy boating and spending time at the East Greenwich Yacht Club, as well as hiking, skiing, tennis, and gardening, with an hour or two of Bravo TV thrown in for balance. As a member of the yacht club Social Committee, Holly has created and led an initiative to host monthly, female-friendly activities and is also on the team that hosts children's events. A skilled event planner, Holly is heading this year's Commodore's Ball, a 200-person formal event to kick off the boating season.
With her high-level corporate and small business background, not to mention extensive sales and marketing expertise, Holly is excited to provide a seamless, professional experience to her clients. At this moment, she is in high gear, educating herself on every facet to help sellers and buyers. “I hope to use my current interior design talents, as well as the skills I am acquiring through my RISD Interior Design Certificate to optimize my clients' outcomes,” Mollicone added. “For sellers, this includes providing expert pre-sale consults to prepare homes for our marketing and sales efforts, such as staging, curb appeal, and virtual staging to help their buyers visualize empty or outdated spaces. For buyers, I hope to provide them the vision to see a potential home as their own, both for aesthetic and lifestyle needs, including considering room use, furniture layouts, desired renovations with feasibility and budget, and exterior design.” Added to that strategic drive is a love of people and homes, plus an unpretentious yet white-glove approach. “I am a people-person and like to have fun in the process,” Mollicone said. “I enjoy understanding the needs and desires of my clients. After our initial consultation, it's important to allow them to feel in control of their own journey while providing necessary guidance at the critical moments and decision points.
