A lifelong Rhode Islander, Gregory takes great pride in all corners of the state. Having lived in varied locations, he has developed a deep knowledge of the region's food, culture, and people.
Catching the real estate bug
Gregory earned a unique skill set in luxury retail and with prestigious brands such as Tiffany & Co. and Salvatore Ferragamo. He is focused on client needs and thrives in challenging situations that allow him to exercise his problem-solving talents. Gregory is also an income property owner and knows what it takes to generate the greatest profit. “After purchasing an income property with my partner, I got the real estate bug,” Alvares said. “My love of design and my desire to help people find what they want have finally led me to this exciting career.”
Once he became a licensed Realtor®, Gregory acted swiftly and sought out Residential Properties, knowing the sales and marketing firepower to which he would instantly gain access. “What made me want to join RPL was the brand recognition and the tools you’re given,” Alvares noted. “You’re provided all of these from your first day on the job – it doesn’t compare with any other agency. A design for success
Currently residing in Pawtucket, Gregory enjoys all the pleasures of home, including crafting a meal from start to finish, baking delectable desserts and pastries, and walking to Slater Park with his partner and dog. He loves exploring the area as well, and is continually impressed by points of historic interest richly spread throughout the region. “What I love most about RI and New England is how close we are to history,” Alvares added. “From the Newport mansions to the bustling, historic city of Boston, there’s so much culture in so few square miles that it behooves you to become a history buff.”
Gregory brings industry savvy as well as an eye for aesthetics to RPL, with experience in DIY home improvements, home décor, interior design, repurposing antique furniture, gardening, and landscaping. Spending time to map out his new career, he is eager to upskill, using RPL’s marketing technology, and to enjoy the journey of homeownership with his clients. “I look forward to a long and prosperous career with Residential Properties,” Alvares said. “My goal is to have a better understanding of the ins and outs of the real estate industry and to learn as much as possible so I can help people find their dream home.”
