Residential Properties Ltd. is pleased to announce the addition of Sales Associate Emily Karagozian to the superb team of professionals at our Providence office. Emily has been in sales for the past eight years working as a financial representative at Northwestern Mutual and as an advertising and marketing account executive at The Boston Globe. Originally from Lincoln, she attended high school at Lasalle Academy and was a three-season athlete. Emily graduated from Emmanuel College with a degree in economics and management, spending the last 15 years living in Boston.
Diving into RI real estate
With her family living in Lincoln and Little Compton, Emily reached a point where a return to Rhode Island felt timely. She will be moving to Providence’s East Side at the end of June to begin her next chapter. “I’m excited to check out the nightlife here ‒ I am sure it has changed since 2006!” Karagozian said. “I have always spent the summers in Little Compton and being born in August have always been drawn to the ocean, so what could be a better fit than The Ocean State?”
With a career sea change and a new life on the horizon, Emily took time to consider which agency would be best for her. Having spent most of her career delivering positive, end-to-end experiences for clients, she was looking for a top brokerage with true knowledge of the area. “I like that RPL is a more local company,” Karagozian noted. “They are able to focus on knowing the region in order to provide their clients with the best home-buying experience.”
Championing her clients
Growing up an athlete and living in a sports-driven house, a competitive edge has been Emily’s driving force in her career and even lends itself to some of her community involvement. As a way of giving back, she takes time to coach her nephew’s football team, The Newton Mustangs. On a more global level, Emily also traveled to Costa Rica for roughly six months to teach English and volunteer at an orphanage.
Spending time to map out her new career, she is primarily concerned with upskilling, using RPL’s marketing technology, and enjoying the journey of homeownership with her clients. “I would like to learn as much as possible and am excited to help people find their dream home,” Karagozian added. “Buying a home is one of the most exciting events in your life and I look forward to being a part of that with clients.”
