Built circa 1915 and replete with romantic details, the home’s formal, tiled foyer leads to the gracious living room with large-plank hardwood floors, a wood mantle fireplace, and a set of French doors opening out to the lovely bluestone front patio. To the right of the main entry, tall double doors open to an elegant formal dining room with a butler’s door connecting to a well-appointed pantry with a stained glass window. The updated chef’s kitchen features sleek stainless steel appliances and a coffered ceiling, while a cozy family room offers custom cabinetry and walkout access to a brick patio presenting picturesque surroundings. The carved-oak staircase leads up to the primary suite with a stunning marble fireplace and an ensuite bath boasting a chic marble vanity with a glass and tile standing shower. Two bedrooms with hardwood flooring, a laundry and storage room, plus a full bath complete the second floor. Upstairs, an additional half bath, bedroom, and office present perfect spaces for remote learning or telecommuting. Located in the Freeman Plat Historic District on Providence’s East Side, the property is blocks from the Moses Brown School, the Wheeler School, and the campus of Brown University. Denizens of the area explore Blackstone Boulevard and Lippitt Park with its weekend farmers markets, as well as the dining and unique shops of Hope Village and Wayland Square. A 10-minute drive to the Providence train station allows for easy travel throughout the Northeast Corridor.
