If you’re reading this, you’re probably not doing work right now (it happens). We all need and deserve a break. As our world begins to open back up, after being put on its own little break for more than a year, Residential Properties is excited to connect with and support our local communities and businesses.
Read on to see RPL agents throughout our office locations showing the fabulous nearby eateries, restaurants, and coffee shops they frequent. These local staples are the key to perking up in the morning, reinvigorating during the afternoon, and relaxing after work.
Let’s take a peek at the treats!
BARRINGTON
ALICIA REYNOLDS, SALES ASSOCIATE
The Daily Scoop and Blue Kangaroo Cafe

Alicia: “There is literally never a bad time for ice cream from The Daily Scoop…ever!”
“Mini cheesecake bites from Blue Kangaroo never disappoint, and their lobster salad is the perfect way to celebrate being
back in the office!”
PAULA SILVA, SALES ASSOCIATE
The Bakeshop at Bywater

Paula: “Nearby Warren has some great restaurants, but we have been craving a bakery downtown for years. Enter, The BakeShop at Bywater, an offshoot of the ever-delicious ByWater restaurant on Water Street, to fill that void expertly. The Ginger Masala Latte, with house-made molasses ginger masala syrup, and a flaky butter croissant has been the ultimate source of morning comfort as we softly step out of cool, early spring air into a warmer, sunnier atmosphere. Not to mention, the added ginger gives you the sense you're gifting yourself good health, which we all can use an extra dose of these days.”
“On a sunny morning, sitting in the clamshell parking lot on a picnic table where neighbors and community come together and meet by chance, well, it doesn’t get any better. It’s just a great example of placemaking, especially coming out of a year of isolation. Don’t stop at the butter croissant though – their breads, cookies, and spiced cinnamon rolls are equally worth making the trip for (your family will thank you if you don’t eat it all yourself!). They also offer beautiful flowers for purchase. Best of all, on special occasions, the lovely proprietor of The Bakeshop, Katie Dickson, partners with local small businesses such as Moonrose Farm Flowers, via The Greenery, and other artisans to package the perfect experience.”
CUMBERLAND
KIMBERLY HORVATH, SALES ASSOCIATE
Phantom Farms

Kimberly: “Phantom Farms is my favorite place to grab a coffee or snack (or both!) when I’m on the road. I love their flavored coffees as they change with the seasons. Pumpkin spice is my favorite. Their homemade Nutella biscotti are heavenly, and perfect for dunking! The newly built greenhouse is my favorite place to relax a bit and enjoy my treats.”
EAST GREENWICH
STACY ANTUONO, BROKER ASSOCIATE
Raise the Bar Nutrition and Toscana Lounge

Stacy: “Raise the Bar Nutrition has become one of my favorite places to go on Main Street. Aside from having a positive, relaxing vibe like an upscale coffee shop, this place is all about nutrition. Their great-tasting shakes are meal replacements that are low in carbs and calories while being packed with nutrients and protein to keep me going throughout the day. Their delicious drinks have helped me stay on track with fitness goals, especially my favorite peanut butter-based shakes. Each drink comes with a healthy, energizing tea. I’ll sometimes go for an additional nutrient shot on the side. The owner and staff are very friendly and inviting, which adds to the good vibes I feel every time I stop in to refuel.”
“Toscana Lounge, which is connected to Main Street Coffee, has become my favorite place to have an occasional, relaxing adult beverage. Whether it be with clients celebrating a new home purchase or with a friend, this little gem provides just the right relaxing atmosphere after a long workday ‒ especially when in the mood for extra-strong coffee. Salted-Caramel and Snickerdoodle espresso martinis are my favorites. I love raising my glass toasting with clients who just purchased a new home! It’s a great place to make new connections or wind down at the end of a long day. Their non-alcoholic beverages and pastries are also fabulous!”
THERESE VEZERIDIS, BROKER ASSOCIATE WITH
MICHELE CAPRIO, BROKER MANAGER EAST GREENWICH/NARRAGANSETT

Therese: “Among the many wonderful restaurants in East Greenwich, my husband Michael and I particularly enjoy the superb service and daily specials at the Greenwich Bay Oyster Bar. Michael leans toward the specials or linguine with clams, while I have often enjoyed the lobster salad over a bed of caesar salad ‒ a special accommodation the kitchen is willing to make for me!”
“You can find us at the bar with our favorite bartender John catering to our culinary requests. We start most evenings with a platter of the ever-fresh oysters and perhaps an appetizer of grilled octopus over a bed of arugula garnished with capers. Michael recommends the crab cakes.”
NARRAGANSETT
GALEN MCGOVERN, BROKER ASSOCIATE
Bluebird Cafe

Galen: “When I need a pick-me-up, I head to the Bluebird Cafe in the Quo Vadis Shopping Center in Wakefield. The owners hail from New Orleans, hence the Cajun flair. It’s a casual place with cheerful waitresses and very good food at reasonable prices, from jambalaya, shrimp soup, and po’ boys to breakfast and lunch sandwiches. My breakfast favorites are the Huevos Rancheros or the Powerhouse Eggs (eggs, yeast, tamari, cheese) with a biscuit. The biscuits are best grilled and, yes, they will ask you. I recommend grilling for their homemade muffins as well.”
“It’s a perfect spot to meet clients or friends for a quick meal or snack ‒ you always see someone you know. I can guarantee you will leave happier than when you walked in!”
PROVIDENCE
NICOLE CHURCH, SALES ASSOCIATE WITH
CHRISTINA ROSCITI, SALES ASSOCIATE
Plant City

Nicole: “After we closed a recent sale, we dined at Plant City around the corner from our office. Two mojitos, two cobb salads, plus 75-degree weather and sunshine! Nothing like a full Resi office transaction, a lovely meal, and a celebratory cocktail.”
THE GREENE | SWEENEY TEAM,
KIRA GREENE and MICHAEL J. SWEENEY, SALES ASSOCIATES
The Shop

Kira: “We love stopping by The Shop in the very hip Fox Point neighborhood to take a quick break in our busy day. It's located at the top of Wickenden Street only a few blocks from Residential Properties’ Providence office. This time of year, it's iced coffee for the both of us. It’s pretty up there in iced coffee rankings. Very smooth and medium-strength brew. With my natural energy, I of course get caffeinated, while Michael prefers the decaf (he claims he’s ‘allergic’ to caffeine, LOL, maybe so…).”
Michael: “You can also grab a healthy bite, as The Shop has a beautiful menu. Today we opted for a yogurt parfait with gluten-free granola! Parking is pretty easy around the corner on Governor Street. The Shop is also a quick walk to India Point Park, so you can stroll over the bridge and take in water views in a matter of minutes. Iced coffee, a hip area, waterfront breezes…what more could you ask for on a hot day in May? (Maybe us listing your house!) Meet us here sometime. There’s a bench under a shady tree with your name on it.”
LAURI LEE, SALES ASSOCIATE
Madrid European Bakery & Patisserie

Lauri: “Madrid opened in September 2020 and has quickly become a favorite! Baker/Owner, Sergio Mendoza, (behind me in my photo) makes the most delectable treats, including several flavors of Santiago, a grain-free, dairy-free cake that is as perfect for breakfast as it is for dessert. Since I eat paleo, it's hard for me to find treats that don't upset my stomach or make me feel guilty, and this one fits the bill. While I haven’t had their coffee, which I’ve heard is wonderful too, I can vouch for their delicious teas and hot chocolate.”
WEST SIDE OF PROVIDENCE
JOE ROCH, BROKER ASSOCIATE AND
JANE DRIVER, BROKER ASSOCIATE
Broadway Bistro

Joe: “Here we are enjoying summer salads, ribs and grits, and rosé at Broadway Bistro. They feature local ingredients, seasonal menus, and fantastic cocktails and wine lists. The owner and staff are some of the nicest folks (and neighbors) around!”
Jane: “Their outside tables face Broadway. It's a great way to people-watch and catch up with friends and neighbors as they stroll by. They're a West Side institution and have helped shape our neighborhood as a go-to food destination.”
WESTPORT
LAURIE AMMANN, BROKER ASSOCIATE
(AND GERTIE)

Laurie: “Gertie joined me for an iced latte this morning at the newest breakfast and lunch establishment on Main Road. She approves!”
Did we mention any of your faves? Maybe it’s time YOU had a snack break ‒ or got back to work.
