Carol joins the company with over 25 years of experience as a Realtor®. She grew up in North Carolina, but spent most of her childhood and teenage years in the Midwest and is now a long-time resident of Bristol. “There are so many advantages to living in this beautiful town,” Wardwell said. “As I walk each morning, I am full of admiration for the outstanding architecture of Bristol’s historic homes and their beautifully manicured properties.”
Blossoming at RPL
After her graduation from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, Carol taught secondary school English near her alma mater and in Indiana for several years. Her husband’s family business then brought her to Bristol, Rhode Island, where after raising her three children she earned her real estate license in 1993. In 1999, she became manager of her agency, a position she enjoyed for 13 years before again applying her skills as a salesperson.
As an experienced Rhode Island agent, Carol was aware of Residential Properties’ reputation, a primary factor in her choice to join the company. “Not only is RPL a leader in real estate sales, but it provides a forward-thinking, supportive atmosphere in which agents can thrive,” Wardwell said. “The office functions as a great team, with everyone working together and happy to assist one another when necessary. I feel fortunate to be working with such a positive, congenial group.”
Helping clients plant roots
When not focusing on her clients, Carol turns her attention to the greater community, offering her time to the Bristol Historical and Preservation Society, varied genealogical organizations, and local horticultural societies. She is a past president of the Bristol Garden Club, tending her own flowers and plants with continued enthusiasm, and a past officer and warden of St. Michael’s Church in Bristol. To her delight, her three grandchildren now live within driving distance of her home, allowing for frequent visits.
At present, her clientele is largely past clients, family, and friends. As she further expands her sphere of influence with RPL, Carol looks forward to having all the support she needs to service buyers and sellers. “I believe that purchasing a home is a major decision, one that will be life-changing for the client,” Wardwell noted. “That is why I am always focused on my clients and committed to helping them achieve their real estate and life goals.”
