RPL’s Cumberland Office Welcomes Sales Associate Christine Fera

Residential Properties Ltd is excited to announce that Sales Associate Christine Fera has joined the fabulous team of real estate professionals at our Cumberland office. Christine grew up in Woonsocket and began her apprenticeship as an optician out of high school. She moved to Cranston to raise her son Andrew, and after 30 years moved to Johnston. “My husband and I love Rhode Island and enjoy the beautiful pine trees surrounding our home,” Fera noted. “We have the best of both worlds, being close to shopping and great restaurants, as well as the mountains up north and beautiful beaches.” She is also partial to hiking Rhode Island’s scenic trails, with the World War ll Memorial Loop in Smithfield as a favorite.

Her eye on real estate

Christine thrives on interaction with people, one of the central pleasures of her previous career as an optician. “I loved the daily interaction,” Fera added. “From patients to sales professionals to wholesale vendors, I was developing relationships within many facets of the industry.” Through it all, however, thoughts of real estate lingered. She was always fascinated with the new construction and rehabs her father managed as the owner of a construction company. In 2020, Christine finally decided to bring her unique brand of personal care and attention to work as a real estate agent.

After successful completion of the licensing course, her next task was to find the right home for her new life as a Realtor®. When an acquaintance in the industry recommended RPL, she soon learned the benefits of joining a full-service agency. “My friend explained that Residential Properties has a very good reputation for high-quality, professional agents,” Fera said. “Each day I see even more how true that is. The training and support I’ve received have been outstanding.”

Envisioning her new career

Commitment is a key element of success for Christine. As an optician, she served on three medical missions to Panama providing eyewear to those with no medical access. Outside of work she has dedicated time to important causes, volunteering at the Rhode Island Food Bank and with the Special Olympics. Not inclined to sit back and rest, Christine also enjoys activities such as golf and tennis. She has competed on various United States Tennis Association teams, making districts, sectionals, and someday, she hopes, nationals.

For now, her plans are to get busy building and expanding her list of credentials. In particular, Christine wants to learn more about negotiations, market analysis, and the art of home staging. “It’s important for me to provide added value beyond licensing,” Fera said. “I want my clients to know they are working with an absolute professional who strives to do the very best job on their behalf.”
