Residential Properties Ltd is pleased to announce that Sales Associate Adilson Graca has joined the superb roster of agents at our Cumberland office. Adilson is a native of Pawtucket and a first-generation American citizen, his parents having been born in Cape Verde. His feeling of connection to Rhode Island has grown substantially throughout the years. “I now have a greater appreciation for the region’s rich history,” Graca noted. “Plus, New England has it all, from city life in Providence and rural life in Exeter, to the mountains of New Hampshire and beaches of Narragansett.”
Driven to real estate
Instilled with an altruistic spirit by his parents, Adilson began his career aspiring to work with children facing physical and mental challenges. Chance, however, led him into a role as a product advisor at a local Microsoft store, where he fell in love with the challenge of connecting people and technology. This eventually led to work at a local startup called Upserve, a restaurant management SaaS (software-as-a-service) company, igniting his interest in working with customers.
A vision of a new career as a Realtor® crystalized for Adilson after enjoying one of his favorite pastimes ‒ driving around Rhode Island, exploring new neighborhoods and looking at the beautiful homes. “I'd picture myself in an apartment on the East Side, a mansion in Newport, or a home in Barrington,” Graca said. “RPL signs were usually in the yards of my favorite neighborhoods.” After completing the real estate licensing course, a meeting with Cumberland Broker Manager Ryan Antrop sealed the deal as far as choosing an agency. “Ryan was honest and full of professional advice and recommendations,” Graca added. “Most importantly, I sensed that Residential Properties puts their community first.”
Earning clients’ trust
In spite of this new career direction, dedication to his community is still paramount for Adilson. His volunteer experience has included giving his time at a local therapeutic horseback riding center, at Habitat for Humanity, assisting in religious education, and delivering meals to homeless shelters. When it’s time to relax, Adilson enjoys creative pursuits such as music, drawing, and baking at home in Pawtucket, where he lives with his best friend since the third grade, along with his cat Callie and dog Maisy.
Adilson looks forward to entering this robust real estate market with gusto, bringing his love of the area and investment in people to his work each day. “I'm excited to learn from my colleagues and hopefully educate and give back to my community,” Graca said. “With so much misinformation out there, I’d like to close that gap and offer myself as a trusted source for all of my clients.”
