RPL’s Narragansett Office Welcomes Sales Associate Kathleen Perreault

Residential Properties Ltd. takes pride in announcing that Sales Associate Kathleen Perreault has joined the excellent team of agents at our Narragansett office. She attended Cranston public schools, the Prout School in Wakefield, and Providence College, followed by work as an actuarial analyst at Amica Insurance. After several years at home with her growing family, Kathleen moved into secondary math education and instructional coaching. Kathleen is a native Rhode Islander who has owned properties in multiple communities across the state. “What I love about our small state is its accessibility and diversity,” Perreault said. “There are so many unique experiences to be had and beauty to be seen from one end to the other.” She has been proud to call southern Rhode Island home for over twenty years.

Academic in the pandemic

The COVID Experience of 2020 was a strong factor in Kathleen’s decision to obtain her real estate license. Like many others, she had been working at home since March. “As the pandemic continued through the summer and did not appear to be subsiding, I realized that I needed a new focus and challenge,” Perreault noted. Within two days of the course’s end, she passed the exam.

When it was time to connect with brokerages to decide on where she would affiliate, Kathleen called her friend Sales Associate Toby Kimball of RPL’s East Greenwich office. “We had worked together when I was teaching high school math,” Perreault said. “I asked him why he chose Residential Properties, and the subsequent conversation lasted for over an hour! I was sold on the training and mentor programs that exist for new agents, and the authentic managerial support that is available twenty-four seven.”

Extending her expertise

Kathleen understands first-hand how housing needs change and evolve over the course of a lifetime. Her familiarity with Rhode Island’s varied communities and extended family throughout the state will serve her well as a realtor with Residential Properties. She also has a practical understanding of what people are looking for at various life stages. “From my experience as a parent and educator, I realize that young families are concerned about their children’s education and may need guidance in navigating school options in Rhode Island,” Perreault said. “I can also relate to the empty-nester who is looking to downsize and simplify their lifestyle.”

When not focused on her work, Kathleen enjoys time with her husband Mike, three grown children, and a quirky rescue dog named Buddy. She also enjoys running, hiking, reading, and traveling with family and friends. At the moment, Kathleen is interested in digital marketing, home staging, and courses focused on negotiation. “I look forward to pursuing additional credentials and certifications to add value to my licensing,” Perreault added. “I enjoy learning and taking on new challenges, so having a few areas of expertise will serve my clients well.”
