Born and raised in upstate New York, Jill lived in Paris, Boulder, and Boston prior to settling in Barrington 18 years ago, where she and her husband raised their family. After a two-decades long career as a graphic designer, a passion for art, architecture, and interiors led Jill to pursue real estate. “The process of finding and listing homes brings together all my favorite things, interior and exterior design, community, family, and successful, happy partnerships,” Lamere said.
An artist’s vision
In addition to appreciating the arts, Jill is a great admirer of The Ocean State. While Rhode Island shares a similar character to her native New York state, such as farmland and cottages with generous porches, she feels that Rhody has the right blend. “Once you’ve spent time here, you realize what a gem Rhode Island is,” Lamere said. “It has everything – extensive coastline, fantastic universities, a vibrant arts community, and easy proximity to Boston and New York City.”
Though she has an affinity for Cape Cod style houses with modern floor plans as well as traditional, English cottages, Jill is moved by all manner of residential architecture. “As someone who loves design, I find things to appreciate in a variety of styles and periods,” Lamere noted. “I can put that depth of vision to good use for my clients.”
