Robert Williamson (Left) elected as the newest President of the Northern Rhode Island Board of Realtors®
Residential Properties Ltd. is proud to announce that Sales Associate Robert Williamson, a member of The Leading Group from our Cumberland office, was recently voted in as President of the Northern Rhode Island Board of Realtors®. Rob was voted in as President on October 8th and will begin his one-year term as President on November 1st.
After a successful period in Accounting, Rob began his career in real estate seven years ago, forming the Antrop and Williamson Team with fellow Cumberland agent Ryan Antrop. Ryan, who was the President-elect at the time, suggested Rob join the board as well, and Rob has never looked back. Four years ago, he volunteered to be the Northern RI Board Secretary and get involved with the Board Executive Committee. Since then he has transitioned into Board Treasurer, President-Elect, and now President.
COVID restrictions made it so voting this year was done electronically. COVID has also affected some of Rob’s responsibilities, but nothing will deter him and the rest of the Board from continuing their strong history of success.
“This year will be a little different from past years due to Covid. Normally I would be traveling to the NAR Conference in November but I will be attending virtually. I am looking forward to gaining knowledge at the national level and taking that and applying it to the local level. The board has nine committees that I will oversee to ensure this year runs smoothly.”
Being a part of the Board has helped Rob, not only become more successful and knowledgeable as an agent but has also allowed him to give back to his community. Being the President expands those opportunities, and Rob is perfectly okay with that.
“When I became a Realtor®, about seven years ago, I knew that I wanted to be more active in the community. I immediately got involved in certain committees within the Board such as the Scholarship Committee, Finance Committee, and the Realtor Political Action Committee. Being President of the Board to me means leading by example and encouraging others to do the same.” Williamson adds that he is looking forward to giving back to the communities that the Northern RI Board of Realtors serves. “We have decided to select two charities this year, the Boys and Girls Club of Northern RI and the Blackstone Valley Emergency Food Center. I am also encouraging Residential Properties’ Cumberland office to get involved and assist the Board on many of the charitable endeavors to come this year.”
RPL is proud to count an agent such as Rob amongst our members, and look forward to supporting him with his endeavors. If you are a Realtor® interested in joining the NRIBOR® you have no further to look than Rob to see what a great effect it can have on you.
“Getting involved with the Board has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my life. That enabled me to graduate from the RI Realtors Bryant University Leadership Excellence Program which has positively changed the way I conduct my business.”
Congratulations again Robert. We look forward to your upcoming term.
