RPL’s Greene | Sweeney Team Ranked #1 Small Team in Rhode Island by REAL Trends

 

Residential Properties Ltd. has had a few articles in the past couple weeks highlighting agents and their success at being amongst REAL Trends top-ranked agents. Well now, we would like to highlight a singular team, the Greene | Sweeney Team. Composed of Sales Associate Kira Greene and Michael J. Sweeney, the Greene | Sweeney Team was recently ranked as the #1 Small Team in Rhode Island as determined by sales volume according to REAL Trends. With nearly $40.5 million in sales last year, the Greene | Sweeney topped the list in Rhode Island by over $5 million. 

 A remarkable ranking, especially considering this team of two formed just two years ago. Though it comes as no surprise to those who witnessed the success each of them enjoyed as individual agents. Though when we asked them about their own thoughts on the ranking, it apparently came as a surprise to them. 

“It was a bit of a surprise! We’ve just been working so much and focusing on our clients' transactions. But it means a lot to have this designation and we are so thankful to our clients and Real Trends for doing this type of market research that illustrates our performance so clearly. There are a lot of agents or teams who promote claims, but this type of acknowledgment by a nationally recognized and trusted consulting company is awesome,” says Michael J. Sweeney. 

When discussing how new the team was and the amount of success they have seen in just a short time, the other half of Greene | Sweeney, Kira Greene had this to say: 

“A unique part of our coming together is that we were both successful individual agents prior to being a team and we truly wanted to pair up to provide our clients with this partnership of two fully invested top agents, for unparalleled service and representation. We did expect we’d continue to be successful, but what we didn’t really understand was the power of this synergy in making deals happen and enhancing our clients' goals. This synergy is a key element we have that we simply would not have if we were acting individual agents.” 

In the two years Kira and Michael have been together they have grown as a team on the East Side with not only the highest volume of sales for any team, but in the first half of 2020, they were the top listing agents by volume on the East Side. They have also sold more luxury $1 million-plus homes in 2020 than any other agent or team, with 8 luxury sales to date in this price point. They have been Residential Properties' top-selling team statewide since they began this partnership. 

According to the Greene | Sweeney Team, this mindset of being partners rather than your standard real estate team, is what has helped them see so much success. This and how they strive to be present for their clients, “The number one technique and strategy we use and that is responsible for our success is to be present. We never rush, we are always there, we listen, we support. We truly feel that being present is what we excel at. We could not do this to the degree we do as solo agents.” says Kira.

After seeing and hearing all about this team's success, many may want to immediately form a team themselves, but before you do Michael has a little advice for you, “Figure out who you are as an individual agent first.  Then match your skills and style with a team or agent that compliments you and your philosophy towards your clients and work.” 

This year Greene | Sweeney has continued their success and continues to be present in, not only their clients' lives, but in the community at large. They are continuing their We Love RI Campaign, as a portion of every sale in 2020 is being donated to a local COVID charity or local organizations that work to support social justice in our communities. They are committed to this and to date have already supported the RI Food Bank, Sojourner House, Juanita Sanchez Food Pantry just to name a few. They provide a list of organizations and ask their clients to select where to give after each closing, making the transaction a rewarding one for all.
