This Spring was definitely different from any other we have experienced. Still, despite everything that was happening all around, Mother Nature managed to provide us with the typical beauty we've come to expect from this time of year in Rhode Island. The budding trees, blooming flowers, and spectacular sunsets offered some much needed joy to our days.
We would like to thank all of our agents for overcoming so many obstacles to help keep our photo contest running during this difficult time. Your beautiful submissions were a pleasure to receive throughout the season, but made it very difficult to choose a group of finalists. In addition, we would like to thank all of our friends on Facebook who submitted their votes and helped us with the nearly impossible task of selecting our winner.
In the over 10 years we've been running this contest, this was our closest competition ever. After reaching nearly 7,000 people on Facebook, just 18 votes separated our top four finishers, with the winning photo earning just one more vote than the second place finisher.
Without further ado, we are excited to announce that the 2020 Spring Photo Contest winner is..... Paula Morrison for her photo of the Providence skyline. Paula's photo captures the Providence River in the foreground, as well as some of the capital city's most iconic buildings, featuring the beautiful mural of a Narragansett Tribe member holding a picture of Princess Red Wing. This gorgeous shot received 64 Likes, edging out the win by just one single vote.
