RISMedia, recognized as one of the real estate industry’s definitive sources for news and information, recently released the results of its 31st Annual Power Broker Report Top 500, ranking Residential Properties Ltd. among the top producing real estate companies in the entire country. RPL is the only real estate company based solely in Rhode Island to appear on the Top 500 list, coming it at #332 in the nation with $858,982,295 in total sales volume during 2018.
For the fourth consecutive year, Residential Properties Ltd. led all firms in overall Rhode Island sales transactions during 2018, as well as total sales volume - finishing over $300,000,000 ahead of the next closest competitor.[¹] The results of the report reveal that the Top 1,000 Power Brokers earned $1,424,776,652,825 in sales volume and garnered a total of 3,881,412 transactions during 2018. However, this success did not come without its challenges.
Among the top issues reported were a lack of inventory (49 percent of Power Brokers), brewing economic uncertainty (25 percent), industry disruptors (13 percent), and increasing interest rates (8 percent). Despite these challenges, companies mostly reported feeling “cautiously optimistic” about 2019, a perception held by 59 percent of Power Brokers this year, compared to 52 percent during 2018.
