Residential Properties Ltd is proud to announce that at the recent Northern RI Board of REALTORS®, Inc. meeting Sales Associate Robert Williamson, of the Antrop and Williamson team, was bestowed several honors. Robert was sworn in as Treasurer of the NRIBR and was also surprised with a presentation for Rookie of the Year Award.
The Rookie of the Year Award is “Presented to an NRIBR member, of 5 years or less, who has demonstrated true REALTOR® spirit, good REALTOR® ethics, participated in the board, and who demonstrates promise for future Board leadership.”
Robert Williamson was surprised to be named Rookie of the Year and stated, “It was an honor to win the award, which was last given out to my teammate Ryan Antrop in 2011.” Robert Williamson continued to speak about the criteria for the award saying, “I make a commitment to practice good realtor ethics on a daily basis. That is the part of the award that I pride myself on the most. Since becoming a Realtor I have strived to do things the right way and always have a determination to learn as much as possible about the job.”
Speaking on being sworn in as Treasurer, Robert spoke of what an honor it was and how he is proud of his ascension through the ranks after being named Corporate Secretary last year. Looking towards the future, Robert looks forward to utilizing his previous experience as a financial accountant to “ensure that the board is fiscally responsible and grows accordingly.”
The NRIBR is a professional trade association that provides professional training and resources to it members across Pawtucket, Woonsocket, North Smithfield, Lincoln and the rest of Northern Rhode Island. They are active in their community and provide charitable donations and time. Robert states he knew he wanted to be a member as soon as he became a real estate agent in 2013. Since completing that goal, Robert has been a member of multiple boards, including the Scholarship Committee and the Board of Directors.
When asked about the importance of the board and how it has affected him and how it can affect others Robert said, “Through my participation with the board I have had the pleasure of meeting and working side by side with many other experienced realtors. I have gained a better understanding of what the responsibilities of a Realtor are, and I have acquired valuable knowledge from my colleagues. I would recommend that all members of the board get involved in a committee that they are passionate about.”
