Residential Properties Ltd. CEO Sally Lapides, and Sales Team Markham + DeRentis Associates have successfully completed the sale of the historic Susan and William R. Huston House for a price of $2,140,000. This marks the second highest sale on the East Side of Providence this year, only topped by the $4,000,000 sale of 460-440 Rochambeau Avenue, which was also represented by Residential Properties Ltd. In fact, RPL has represented each of the top six sales on the East Side this year. In all, 14 East Side listings have sold for $1,000,000 or more this year, with Residential Properties Ltd. representing 21 of a possible 28 overall sides. Recognized as one of the crowning jewels of historic Benefit Street, The Susan and William Huston House was originally designed by architect Clifton A. Hall in 1867 before undergoing a complete and meticulous rebuild by the artisans at Modern Industries in 2008. Enhanced by state of the art systems, including an elevator, integrated media technologies, and both air and water filtration systems, the only original interior details that remain today are the massive carved walnut front doors and newel post on the stairs.
