Our Cumberland office recently met with the Chief Executive Officer of the Boys and Girls Club of Cumberland-Lincoln, Gary Rebelo, for a tour of the facility and to learn more about all the wonderful programs they offer. The BGCCL has a variety of programs in athletics, aquatics, fitness, after-school activities, school vacation camps, and senior programs year-round. “We were very impressed.” says Holly Applegate, manager of the Cumberland office. Joining Applegate on the tour were Cumberland Sales Associates Cheryl Davis, Janice Geddes, Debby Smith, Patricia Murphy, Maryann Murphy, Seth Leavitt, Michael Girard, and Robert Williamson. Applegate was impressed with the extent of programs offered and expressed that, "We'd like to thank Mr. Rebelo for taking the time to show us around." Originally founded in 1956, the Boys & Girls Club of Cumberland-Lincoln promotes community involvement by providing a wealth of both education and recreation activities for those of all ages. During the school year, the club is open weekdays from 2pm-6pm, and Saturdays 12pm-3pm. During the summer months, camp activities run from 7am-5:45pm.
