In celebration of H.P. Lovecraft's 125th birthday and the birth of Weird Fiction, the Lovecraft Arts & Sciences Council has put together the International Conference and Festival of Weird Fiction, Art, and Academia that will take place on August 20-23 in Rhode Island's own Creative Capital. The theme for this year's conference is a Lovecraft International Homecoming and will be mostly held at the Biltmore and Omni Hotels with additional events in Downtown Providence and College Hill. The four-day event features scholars, artists, historians and authors who are influenced by the Providence native's work. H.P Lovecraft-themed games, workshops, art, films, walking tours, and concerts will also take place at the convention. To participate in this event, head over to the NecronomiCon website to purchase tickets. * * *
