Residential Properties Ltd. knows how important it is to give back to the community this holiday season. Each of our five offices are involved in a variety of charitable events to help out their local communities.
The Barrington office has raised hundreds of dollars for TAP-IN (Touch A Person In Need)—an organization run out of the lower level of the Barrington Public Library that helps local families in need. The organization serves residents of Barrington, Bristol, Warren and East Providence and collects food and clothing year round. Occasionally, they even offer transportation to medical appointments. To learn more about the organization, visit tapinri.com. Also from the Barrington office Cindi James organizes the Fall River Christmas Stroll meant to bring the community together for a fun time. The event's admission was one canned good for Saturday Kitchen in Fall River and participants were able to donate unwrapped gifts to Mission Hope.
Our Cumberland branch has donated their time and funds to Adopt-A-Family, Inc. of Woonsocket and have already adopted three families. Sandy Soares of the branch is also the Executive Director of the organization. Adopt-A-Family helps low income parents find generous donors to "adopt" their child's wish list for the holidays. The donors buy the child 3-4 clothing items, 2-3 toys and fill a stocking with gifts. For more information on Adopt-A-Family visit woonsocketadoptafamily.org and be sure to check out our community video on the organization! Also from the Cumberland branch, Ryan Antrop—the 2015 Board President of the Northern Rhode Island Board of REALTORS—chose to donate the $500 raised at a REALTOR Holiday Event to the Boys & Girls Club. The Boys & Girls Club of Cumberland-Lincoln runs valuable after-school and athletic programs that benefit area residents.
The Narragansett office has long been a supporter of the Jonnycake Center of Peace Dale—an organization out of South Kingstown whose mission is to eliminate hunger in its community. Jonnycake aims to provide assistance for those in need of food, clothing and household items. For more information on the Jonnycake Center visit jonnycakecenter.org.
Providence donations
Ed Hardie and Sandy Conca organizing donations The Providence office has participated in The Salvation Army's Adopt-A-Family program for years. The Salvation Army pairs up a family in need with a sponsor who adopts the family for the holiday season. Through the program, the sponsor can help a family that is suffering from a severe physical, economic or emotional crisis. Sponsors are given a wish list for the family and then purchases food, toys, clothes, household items or grocery store certificates. To learn more about The Salvation Army's Adopt-A-Family program, visit ctri.salvationarmy.org.
This year, the East Greenwich office is donating gifts and food baskets to the Swift Community Center for senior citizens in the town. The Community Center runs many programs for community seniors such as the Holiday Meal Program, choral groups and transportation.
