The Fall River Christmas Stroll will be held this Sunday, November 16 from 10am to 4pm at Our Lady of Light Band and Banquet Facility (664 Quarry Street - Fall River, RI). Organized by Residential Properties Ltd. Administrator Cindi James, the event was created to bring people together for fun, shopping, food, and most importantly, to support those who struggle with many of life’s issues, including homelessness, loss, grief and illness. Admission to the event will be a non-perishable food item, benefiting Saturday’s Kitchen in Fall River, which provides meals and clothing to many people throughout the city. As of late, Joe Primo and his wife typically serve over 100 people every other Saturday at the Church of the Holy Spirit on Purchase Street. These hard working people serving their community deserve our support. Attendees will also be able to drop off their unwrapped toys to be donated to Mission Hope. Last year the cause was able to serve over 40 local homeless and needy families, by providing amazing Christmas gifts, warm clothing, and essentials. Times seem even tougher this year, and it’s so important to support our neighbors and communities and brighten the faces of children while providing people with the most basic and simplest items. A portion of the proceeds with also benefit the family of Baby Katiana, who recently lost her struggle with Zellwegger Spectrum. The event will have over 50 unique vendors and businesses, including Eastside Chiropractic Center, Studio Painting, Fashion Paws Boutique and Bakery, Brielle’s Boutique, Clutch Boutique, One Post Road Bath Company, The Chocolate Orchard, New England Folk Artist, Skip Desrosiers Photography, Silver City Soapworks, Jewelry in Candles and Jewelinga. There are representatives from Scentsy, Pampered Chef, It Works, Avon, Lia Sophia, Jamberry Nails, Younique, Athena Spa, Norwex, Mary Kay, Origami Owl, Ava Anderson, Thirty One, Tastefully Simple, Silpada, Arbonne, Tupperware, and Celebrity Homes. Many other individual crafters and artisans with products such as jewelry, children’s clothing, men’s gifts, gift baskets, and much more! Enjoy beautiful musical performances by the Durfee High School Orchestra, led by Mr. Michael Coelho. Tommy Tex Acoustic will perform, along with Shell Shock Acoustic and Julia Travassos. Bring your children to visit Santa and Mrs. Claus, and come see Elsa from Frozen (Sierra Lavoie)! The children will also receive special gifts and treats! Santa and Mrs. Claus arrive at 12pm on the day of the event. Food and drinks will also be available for purchase.
