Selling homes is mostly about location or price, but, sometimes, the interior needs to be decorated or arranged by a professional stager to bring out the highlights of rooms that otherwise seem cluttered and uninteresting. It is amazing how the placement of a chair or the hanging of a painting will change the character of a whole room and add perceived value to the property. That assessment and a chance meeting with a couple of artists from a local group, the Cumberland Artist Alliance, prompted us to have an open house at our office to show off some of their work, and over the past few weeks the place has been adorned with artwork from this group.
On Friday, October 12, 2012, we held the event to kick off the display inviting local residents to visit us at the Cumberland office. If you didn’t make it, several of the artists will be leaving their work on display in the office. The Cumberland Artist Association is a group of professional artists whose representational art reflects the beauty of our natural world. They exhibit and sell their art in galleries, business, restaurants, and offices. All of the artwork is available for purchase.
