This week I was in the studio with Bill Whitty from Homestar Mortgage and we were joined by Liz Messier, Director of Relocation and Client Services at Residential Properties, and Pam O”Connor, President and CEO of Leading Real Estate Companies of the World®, the largest real estate network in the world, comprised of over 550 of the top independent real estate firms producing more than $225 Billion dollars worth of sales annually. We are constantly reviewing our business model to keep up with the times, 20 years ago Liz’s department concentrated on relocating our corporate clients, but as the economy changed, fewer and fewer companies were offering relocation packages and hiring freezes also slowed things down as well. We still offer superior service to our corporate accounts; but today our Client Service division is a wonderful resource for a vast array of services for anyone buying or selling their home, including referrals for movers, financing, home warranties, market reports, and school and community information. We are especially excited about our newest program, Military on the Move, The program offers active duty, retired, and wounded service members special benefits for real estate services, including a cash rebate or credit at closings. In addition, the program provides discounts for select ancillary products and other home-related items, including household goods and mortgage services. This Week’s Real Estate Insight: Rhode Island has a large concentration of military personnel and Residential Properties is currently the only agency in the state to offer this program, we feel it is a great way to show appreciation to the men and women who have sacrificed so much in service to our country.
