There is always a thread to our business - real estate. Though we usually concentrate on the house, we have always been on the lookout for giving to the community. One of our agents, Leslie Kellogg, heard of an organization which deserves our attention. The Providence Children’s Film Festival was founded in 2009 to bring high quality, independent and international children’s films, animation, and documentaries to Rhode Island, and to present them as shared theatrical experiences for the community.
Their inaugural event – four days of big screen fun for the whole family, will start over the Presidents’ Day Weekend (February 12-15, 2010), at the Cable Car Cinema and the RISD Museum.?? Films have been selected through several means: Award winners and favorites at major children’s film festivals in the last two years, through an open call for submissions, and through recommendations and submissions by RI filmmakers and educators. Their website, www.pcffri.org has more specific details on the weekend's events. See you at the movies! By the way, ?the Providence Children’s Film Festival is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
