For Several years our East Greenwich office has been collecting items to be sent to the US troops overseas in combat zones. This year the Residential Properties offices in Barrington, Cumberland, East Greenwich, Narragansett, and Providence are donation collection sites for Rhode Island National guardsmen and guardswomen serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. Help bring a smile to a soldier's face far from home. An extensive list of requested items can be found in our offices, but some suggestions include:
- Paperback/puzzle books (please no magazines or newspapers)
- Batteries (AA and D sized)
- Personal items (vitamins, boot socks, underwear, shoelaces, brown T-shirts)
- Heat wraps/icy hot patches for sore muscles
- Board games or poker chips
- Packs of gum, licorice, microwave popcorn
- Air fresheners
- Most treasured are holiday cards (you can even send them for upcoming holidays like Valentine's Day and St. Patrick's Day) to keep the soldiers' spirits up!
