You may have missed "Bike to Work Day" on May 15th, but it's not too late to start your 2-wheeled commute as the entire month of May has been designated "Bike Month". There are some great local resources for those interested in trying a bike commute. BikeProvidence.org provides a wealth of information including safety and maintenance tips. A great resource for those commuting from the Southern part of the state is the website of the Narragansett Bay Wheelmen. Both organizations have up-to-date blogs and bike trains for those who prefer to commute in a group. Also helpful, is the RI Department of Transportation Bike RI page which includes a download of their updated Guide to Bicycling in the Ocean State.
