For over 45 years, the Bayside YMCA has served the communities of the East Bay offering swim lessons, fitness classes, book club meetings, teen events and basketball tournaments. While the Y programs remain exciting and relevant, the facility is definitely showing its age. In October, our office participated in the Bayside YMCA Golf Tournament at the Rhode Island Country Club to raise funds to build a new YMCA on the site of the existing building. Our office has been very involved in the fundraising effort for the past 3 years, and so we are thrilled that the YMCA of Greater Providence has approved a Capital Campaign to raise $9.4 million for the new YMCA. As of this writing, $4.7 million dollars have been pledged, demonstrating enormous support for the project. We thank everyone for their support of this project and look forward to sharing these new facilities with our families for years to come.
