Moving to a new state on a finite timeline in the current real estate market was stressful at baseline, but working with Barbara made the home purchasing process as easy and pleasant as possible. A colleague recommended Barbara based on their great experience and we are so lucky to have been able to work with her! From the start, Barbara was attentive, timely, and personable. She went above and beyond to work with our crazy work schedules and limitations out of state (dedicated a whole Saturday to showing us neighborhoods in person, facilitating virtual tours for us when we couldn't fly up, helping to coordinate inspections, even helping to get contractors into the house we bought to help get things taken care of before we made the move). We are so grateful for Barbara and can't recommend her enough!

My partner and I bought a house last October and had an amazing time working with Barbara! We were first time home buyers and had no idea what we were doing but Barbara walked us patiently throughout the entire process. We started working with her in July, and she was diligent in joining us for every open house and getting us private showings when needed. She was available whenever we needed her, answering every question (of which there were many) with her extensive knowledge from decades in the industry. She knew every neighborhood and even most of the houses we looked at and was able to give us insider information. We ended up putting an offer on a house before the one we bought and while we did not win the bid, we felt that Barbara guided us through the process and did everything she could to advocate for us. When it came time to put an offer on our house, it was a lengthy process and Barbara was with us through the whole thing. She recommended contractors and an inspector and we felt fully informed in the purchase process. We would recommended Barbara to anyone buying a house in RI!

We are so grateful for Barbara's help with buying a new property in MA and selling our house in RI. We reached out to her for the very first time one morning in September to ask if she could make an appointment for us to see a house that was listed that morning. She made the appointment and met us there at 5 pm that same day. It was a complicated "as is" situation but Barbara helped us navigate it with poise, patience and persistence. She is incredibly responsive, a great listener and so trustworthy. She volunteered her time and advice when we decided to pursue selling our house privately to a friend of ours. I would highly recommend Barbara Dacey as an agent. From initial discussions on whether or not we were ready to sell, to receiving our check and handing the keys to the buyer, Barbara guided us on every step. She was knowledgeable about what price to expect and honest about how long it might take to sell. She kept us updated on complications we had along the way and worked to solve them. Her friendly demeanor and experience definitely made the sale happen.

Barbara has been a fantastic realtor for me over the past several years and multiple purchases, and continues to be. She brings a deep understanding of the market and all the subtleties, potential snares, personalities, and other factors that come to bear on a purchase. She has an endless energy and devotion to her work -- willing to talk on the phone as long as necessary (and as many times a day) to sort out the complexities. She is extremely cautious about properties and judicious, and has never applied the somewhat typical (at least of realtors I've used in the past) pressure to purchase. We've toured dozens of houses together and she has had the expertise and connections (she knows virtually everyone in the business in Providence) in place to close the deals when we find the right ones.
