David Hasslinger has been a Realtor with Residential Properties, Ltd., since 2013. Helping people is the preeminent guiding force in David's life; that force comes into play whether David is helping individuals buy their first, second or 20th home or helping families sell their family home or investment property. David's life experiences have shaped him into the man and Realtor he is today:

  • David learned how to think, reason and problem-solve, through rigorous and enlightening academic opportunities
  • He became a deft advocate for himself and his 11 siblings, who taught him how to listen well and thoughtfully
  • David adopted solid Midwestern values of integrity, hard work, determination, persistence and cheerful goodwill, as a native of Wisconsin
  • He honed and enhanced his aesthetic eye and appreciation for art and architecture, by earning a BFA and an MFA (in glass) from the University of Wisconsin and RISD, respectively
  • David gained invaluable expertise and reinforced his service-oriented philosophy through a diverse array of professional experiences. Ever since he launched his first business, glassblowing, at age 20, David has applied his creative talents and business acumen to every professional engagement, and continues to do so.
  • David has lived by the guiding principle that we are here to find ways to help others. Representing buyers, sellers or investors of real estate is simply an extension of this service-oriented philosophy.

Blend all these elements with David's boundless enthusiasm, energy, infectious good humor and knowledge of the real estate market in Rhode Island, replete with neighborhoods and villages that possess their own unique character. The result? The Realtor who loves what he does� and it shows.

A Rhode Island resident since 1982, David is married to Carol, a Rhode Island native. The couple raised three children, now grown, in Pawtucket's Oak Hill and on the East Side of Providence.

David volunteers with SWAP, Inc. (Stop Wasting Abandoned Property), a nonprofit organization working with residents, businesses, neighbors and community partners to revitalize neighborhoods and provide affordable housing opportunities. In the past, he has volunteered with other Rhode Island nonprofit organizations, including the Social Enterprise Greenhouse, which assists nonprofit organizations develop self-sustaining business models, and Amos House, originally a soup kitchen and now a full-service social service agency.
