Brian Janes is a fulltime realtor who thrives on guiding his clients through the process of home buying or selling. Each property and transaction bring a unique set of goals and possibilities. Brian thoroughly enjoys these challenges and works diligently to ensure that each client's needs are met with caring, wisdom, and knowledgeable, innovative advice. His more than 30 years experience in higher education housing, conservation and open space acquisition, as well as residential real estate contribute to a widespread knowledge base that brings value to each client.
During his career in higher education and student housing, Brian worked on many significant projects including large scale acquisitions, renovations, and planning. Much of it based on Providence's East Side also meant developing the expertise to work with historic property re-use and renovation. An avid renovator himself, Brian has first-hand experience, having rebuilt and restored all of his own homes. Brian's degree in Natural Resource Studies has provided a basis for his life-long belief in the benefit of land conservation and stewardship. This translates to more than 20 years in a volunteer role on Tiverton's Open Space Commission where he has led the often-complicated process of securing grants and acquiring many properties to add to Tiverton's protected open space properties.
Brian brings a deep knowledge base to each transaction and provides clients with options and solutions to meet their goals, no matter what they may be. From sales of land or historic properties, to finding dream homes for the first-time buyer or waterfront retreats for the retiree, Brian likes nothing better than finding the perfect match to each individual's circumstance. He believes he lives in one of the loveliest areas around and enjoys showing others the magic of the South Coast of Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
