I had recently divorced and sold my home of 25+ years. Galen approached me to see if I might be interested in buying another home. Galen is a very helpful and friendly agent. When I was selling my house, I had already moved to another state. She helped me to prepare the house by providing painters to let me choose. She checked progress and result of the painting job and arranged trash removers and house cleaners for me. She is very organized. She responded to my questions promptly. Galen is easy to work with, focused on details and very responsive. She was a huge help in selling my mother’s house and an adjacent piece of land, working through the process and considering all the options (selling them together, listing them separately, etc.). She held multiple open houses and followed up with all the interested parties and kept the process running efficiently. She was also a great help in keeping us on track in terms of what needed to be done (inspections), who needed to be contacted, what needed to be updated (smoke alarms, etc.), and who had to sign off on what and when. All of that can be overwhelming when your time it being taken up trying to organize movers, having remnants hauled off and bringing in cleaners. In fact, she has a long list of people that can help with many of those chores, which was also a huge benefit. The process of selling my land was long, and Galen was there every step of the way to make sure the sale went through. She was able to find a buyer and do what was required to keep the buyer interested dring the long process of getting all the necessary approvals for the Septic Design. I can't say enough about Galen's support and expertise in helping me find a home as a remote (and very particular) buyer. This is a difficult real estate market, and being a remote buyer made it even more challenging. Galen was brilliant in finding solutions to all my needs, from taking me on video visits to houses I was interested in, sending me disclosure information, and giving me great insider tips about neighborhoods and homes. Her expertise in water quality and septic systems (she's even a licensed septic inspector!) enabled her to provide valuable guidance on likely future costs in replacing or expanding septic systems. And her longtime residence in the area gave me confidence that she really knew the specific virtues and feel of neighborhoods. Her honest evaluation of each home's strengths and weaknesses was particularly essential since I was seeing them remotely. I knew I could trust Galen to tell me if I was missing something that would be a problem later on. And her experience and knowledge guided me safely through the stages of viewing, bidding, and closing. And now that my new house has closed, she continues to provide support by providing names of great tradespeople to help make the house my home. I can't imagine a better realtor or a more comfortable experience.
