Sue is here to guide you through your real estate journey with a level of steadiness and wisdom that only decades of experience can provide. After landing in Providence in 1971, she turned her passion for people into a career defined by honesty, calm, and an unmatched reputation among her peers.
-
30+ Years of Mastery: A seasoned expert who has successfully navigated clients through every market cycle, from historic highs to challenging lows.
-
Unshakeable Steadiness: Known for her "quiet strength," Sue provides a calm, honest perspective that anchors her clients during high-stakes life transitions.
-
Deeply Respected Reputation: A top-tier professional admired by colleagues and clients alike for her integrity, fairness, and collaborative spirit.
Sue didn’t grow up with roots – she grew up with wings. As the daughter of an Air Force Colonel, she attended 12 schools in 12 years, moving constantly and learning early how to read new places and connect with people quickly. This unique childhood instilled in her a powerful instinct for people and the ability to make any room feel familiar – a skill that has become the hallmark of her real estate practice.
Before entering the industry, Sue dedicated herself to service, leading support groups for new mothers at Women & Infants Hospital and also working as a drug rehabilitation counselor. When her youngest daughter, Annalise, was two years old, Sue entered real estate at a time when professional paths for women were narrow. She sought a career where hard work and independence were rewarded, and has excelled ever since.
For over three decades, Sue has guided clients through every milestone that brings someone to the closing table – the happy ones and the hard ones. Her peers speak of her with genuine admiration, not just as a trusted agent, but as a person of character. This reputation for excellence is paired with a personal drive for consistency; Sue spent 20 years as a competitive rower at the Narragansett Boat Club, a sport that rewards teamwork and endurance over flash.
In 2016, Sue formalized the Erkkinen Cohen Group with her daughter, Annalise. The partnership was a natural evolution of years spent passing down neighborhood histories, pricing instincts, and the "backbone" required to succeed in this business. Together, they offer a seamless blend of traditional wisdom and modern strategy.
