In August 2008 I was named "Citizen of the Year" by The Woonsocket Elks Lodge #850 for my work with Adopt-A-Family, Inc., a local charity I have been involved with since 1989.  In 2008 the program provided Christmas gifts for 2,163 children in more than 1,000 needy Woonsocket families.
