The partnership was created to enhance service to a diverse group of real estate clientele. Markham & DeRentis Associates is comprised of real estate veteran Nancy Markham, CRS and realty agent and finance expert James V. DeRentis.

About James V. DeRentis:
Jim took his passion and expertise in Rhode Island real estate and made it his profession. Prior to joining Residential Properties he served as the chief business officer of Bank Rhode Island.  His responsibilities included business development and retail banking lines, BARI Investment, marketing and corporate communications. Prior to joining Bank Rhode Island, DeRentis was vice president, business development officer at Citizens Bank in Providence. He also served as vice president, relationship manager at Bank of America in West Palm Beach, Fla. DeRentis is actively involved in the greater Providence community. He serves on the Board of Trustees for the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce, Trinity Repertory Company and is a member of the Providence Redevelopment Authority. For 20 years, DeRentis has been actively involved with a variety of Providence community organizations including Stop Wasting Abandoned Property Inc. (SWAP), the West Broadway Neighborhood Association (WBNA) and the Providence Preservation Society (PPS).
