Bio
Linda S. Manning has 28 years of real estate experience in Rhode Island,
the last twelve years of which have been in Newport. The definition of
a "take charge person," Linda is continually seeking new avenues
to expand her business.
A former sales manager for Coldwell Banker, DeWolfe and J.W. Riker real
estate companies, Linda has received many "Million Dollar Producer"
awards throughout her sales career. As a sales agent, she most recently
sold luxury condos for Shoreline Properties, Garrison Partners at The
Residences at The Westin Providence. She has also listed and sold numerous
properties to transferee and military personnel, and has been involved
in the sale of many premier Newport properties.
She currently holds a broker's license and the following designations:
Certified Residential Broker (CRB), Graduate Realtors Institute (GRI),
Previews Designation for upper tier properties.
She is a member of The National Association of Realtors, The Rhode Island
Association of Realtors, Newport County Association of Realtors, Save
the Bay, Newport International Film Festival, Newport Art Museum and Newport
County Woman's Network, Aquidneck Land Trust, Newport Historical Society
and Newport Hospitality Commission. She is a past President Elect for
The Greater Providence Board of Realtors prior to relocating to Newport.
In her time with The Greater Providence Board of Realtors, she served
on several committees including Strategic Planning, Budget, Professional
Standards, Grievance and Equal Opportunity.
Linda resides in Newport's "Historic Hill" area with her husband
Paul. Both are certified divers (PADI) and both hold Captain's Licenses.
In addition to water sports, Linda enjoys hand painting furniture and
designing windows and lamps in stained glass. A lifelong lover of gardening,
Linda has been the recipient of several awards from "Newport in Bloom"
for her front garden displays.
Linda also holds a Master's Degree in Education and is certified as an
Elementary Teacher of grades 1-8. Active in the community, she is a member
of The Newport County Bed and Breakfast Association, The Hill Association,
and The Preservation Society.
