Southeastern Massachusetts

Attleboro

Attleboro, Massachusetts offers the virtues and values of small town living, yet is conveniently located within easy reach of Boston, MA, Providence, RI and the beaches of Cape Cod and Rhode Island. Nationally known as the birthplace of the jewelry industry, Attleboro preserves and maintains the remnants of America’s earliest beginnings while attracting some cutting-edge technology companies.

Attleboro is a friendly, growing city that seems to attract people who want to put down deep roots. Many of its families have been there for generations and the sense of community is strong. Attleboro is located along I-95, I-295 (begins near the North Attleborough town line at I-95), US 1, and Routes 1A, 118, 123 and 152. The city is also home to two MBTA commuter rail stations; one in the downtown area and the other near the Rhode Island border in the South Attleboro district.

North Attleborough

North Attleborough, Massachusetts is an industrial town on the Rhode Island border. In pre-colonial times, it was the site of the Bay Path, a major Indian trail to Narragansett Bay, the Seekonk River and Boston.

At one point, North Attleborough was the button capitol of the world and was home to major jewelry manufacturers.

North Attleborough borders Cumberland and is 15 minutes from Providence and 40 minutes from Boston. Interstates 95 and 295 intersect just over the Attleboro line, and both run through the town. The town is also bisected by U.S. Route 1, which runs through a major retail area and downtown. Routes 120 and 152 run through town, as does the "middle" portion of Route 1A, which begins in the town.

Housing covers the gamut from apartments and condominiums to new single family subdivisions.

In 2006, North Attleborough was rated in the top ten for professional sports communities in the entire country and was listed as one of the most affordable and safest places to raise a family.

Seekonk

Seekonk, Massachusetts is a suburban community on the Rhode Island border that has increasingly become a residential suburb of Providence. Seekonk offers the virtues and values of small town living within easy reach of Boston, Providence, and the beaches of Cape Cod and Rhode Island.

The town was mostly an agricultural community until developers turned the farms into housing subdivisions.

It is now well known for its retail area along Route 6 that includes a movie multiplex, many different national chain stores and restaurants, as well as the Seekonk Speedway, a "fast track" destination for NASCAR.
