Bristol County

Bristol County consists of 3 towns along Narragansett Bay. It is known as a quiet area with plenty of recreational opportunities from sailing on the Bay, kayaking or bicycling, jogging or walking along the 14-mile East Bay Bike Path that runs through the whole offering a clear view of the upper Narragansett Bay to bicyclists, walkers, and joggers.

Barrington

Barrington offers a wonderfully balanced and richly textured lifestyle. Located just nine miles southeast of Providence and bounded by Narragansett Bay, this picturesque community is known for its beautiful homes, suburban lifestyle, recreational opportunities and highly rated school system.

A variety of shops are along the main thoroughfare, County Road. Barrington was named among the 10 best places in the US by Money Magazine in 2005. Every residence is within 2 miles of water and homes range from Capes to newly built modern.

Barrington is also home to the Rhode Island Country Club. The Rhode Island Country Club offers magnificent views of the Bay and its islands, which are connected by three towering suspension bridges. Consistently ranked as a top classic golf course, it has hosted four USGA championships and is the home of the CVS Charity Classic.

There are several distinctive neighborhoods in Barrington, Annawamscutt, Bay Spring, Nayatt, Rumstick Point, West Barrington, Primrose and Sowams.

Bristol

Bristol is one of the most patriotic towns in the country with red, white & blue stripe down the middle of Main Street. It hosts the oldest Fourth of July Parade in the USA. Surrounded by 15 miles of shoreline, this community is steeped in history. Shops and restaurants are walk-able for many residents and the town boasts 12 museums.

The town has a variety of shops and restaurants as well as the Bristol Art Museum, the Haffenreffer Indian Museum and an interesting waterfront. Bounded by 15 miles of coastline on Narragansett Bay, the town provides facilities for boating, swimming and fishing at Beach Terrace, Bristol Highlands, Bristol Narrows and at the town beach. Colt State Park provides a pleasant recess on the west side of the town overlooking Narragansett Bay.

Bristol's geography, as a peninsula between Narragansett Bay and Mount Hope Bay, makes its climate more moderate than most New England communities, warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer.

Federal and Colonial architecture dot this quaint seafaring town and there is a wide variety of housing available. There are many waterfront homes in this town.

There are several distinctive neighborhoods: Beach Terrace, Bristol Ferry, Bristol Narrows, Bristol Highlands, Castle Islands, Poppasquash Point and Seal Island.

Warren

Warren is situated on picturesque Mount Hope Bay, giving the town a panoramic view. Housing covers a wide range and residents enjoy a variety of aquatic activities including boating, fishing and swimming.

There are several distinctive neighborhoods: Coggeshall, East Warren, Kickamuit, South Warren and Touisset.
