RQC-new-gray-star-Residential-Properties

After completing a lengthy application process and surpassing a strict set of standards, Residential Properties Ltd. has been awarded the prestigious RELO® Quality Certification by Leading Real Estate Companies of the World®. The RELO® Quality Certification (RQC) was the first program in the relocation industry to quantify and qualify what true relocation service excellence means. Modeled after the Malcolm Baldrige national quality award, it was created by the network to provide measurable standards for the pursuit of relocation excellence.

Under the guidance of Corporate and Relocation Services Vice President, Elizabeth Messier, Residential Properties Ltd. earned the certification only after its relocation department met stringent standards and completed a rigorous and lengthy application process, overseen by a committee of leading industry professionals. Virtually every aspect of the company’s relocation operation was reviewed thoroughly, using specific criteria to evaluate performance and production, staffing, training and continuing education, quality and scope of relocation service, program marketing, customer satisfaction, technology resources, office facilities, and more.

After earning the certification, a company must complete a recertification process every five years to ensure it continues to meet the program’s rigorous standards and remains current in terms of technology, relocation trends and other relevant areas.

“Relocating to a new area can be extremely stressful for an individual or family,” explains Messier. “Having a trained relocation specialist help them navigate this transition can make all the difference. We’re not just selling them a house, but concentrating on helping find the right community and experience suited to the lifestyle they are searching for. We pride ourselves on being here for them before, during and after their move.”

Leading Real Estate Companies of the World® President/CEO Paul Boomsma commends Residential Properties Ltd. for its focus on excellence in relocation. “The RQC is awarded only to the industry’s most highly respected relocation departments,” Boomsma commented. “RQC firms have distinguished themselves by demonstrating real expertise in addressing employee mobility and talent management needs, and it is a true pleasure to welcome Residential Properties to this elite group of companies.”

This past Valentine’s Day, a group of 34 freshmen from North Smithfield High School captured Rhode Island’s We The People state competition title. Among these 34 talented students was Jacob Haner, son of Residential Properties’ own Christine Haner.

“We are so proud of Jacob and his fellow honor students,” exclaims Christine, currently a relocation counselor in RPL’s Relocation Division. “These students have been working so hard since September to earn this achievement.”

We The People: The Citizen and The Constitution

The competition thrusts students into a simulated congressional hearing where they must work together as a team to answer questions, defend their stance, and demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of constitutional principles in front a panel of 72 judges who score them through a performance-based assessment.

Jacob and his classmates will now travel to Washington, D.C. to take place in the National Finals held from April 26 through April 29 at George Mason University as well as actual hearing rooms on Capitol Hill. During their time at the competition, Jacob and the other North Smithfield High students will have the opportunity to tour the nation’s capital and meet with members of Congress and other dignitaries. “My family and I are very much looking forward to traveling to Virginia,” explains Christine. “We are so excited to watch Jacob and his classmates compete against students from throughout the nation.”

This marks the seventh straight year that North Smithfield has won the state competition. Last year, the school enjoyed their most successful campaign, finishing in the top half of the nation. The previous year, North Smithfield earned the state’s first-ever Unit Award. Teams are broken up into six different units, with the highest scoring units in each category earning a Unit Award. This was the first and only Unit Award that Rhode Island has earned in the competition’s 25-year history.

We The People 26th Annual National Finals

The North Smithfield students are currently planning a myriad of fundraising events to help cover the cost of their trip, including:

– a car wash at N. Smithfield High on April 7 from 12-3 pm
– a Gator’s Pub Night on March 27 from 5-9 pm

In preparation for the National Finals, North Smithfield High will be hosting a Dress Rehearsal event on April 22. The event will be open to the public and begins a 6:30 p.m. with refreshments to follow.

Anyone interested in supporting North Smithfield High’s winning freshman class can submit donations by mailing checks made out to “NSHS” to North Smithfield High School, 412 Greenville Road, North Smithfield, Rhode Island, 02896.

This week on my radio show, Rich and Steve are in the studio with Elizabeth Messier, Director of the Residential Properties Ltd. Corporate Services and Relocation Department. Moving can often be a daunting task, and the client services provided by our Relocation Team can help make your move much less stressful.

Our Relocation Professionals are licensed, non-selling real estate agents who assist individuals and corporations move to or from Rhode Island. Besides working with your company’s relocation package, the department can connect you to one of our preferred mortgage professionals, arrange a community tour, and inform you about our rentals and temporary housing options. This team knows more than just houses; they will assist you with every aspect of your move, from finding a new pediatrician to choosing the right home and neighborhood.

As a member of Leading Real Estate Companies of the World, our relocation team has the connections to acquaint you with the top professionals anywhere in the world.  So, if you are leaving our state, let us coordinate the introduction to those agencies in the area to where you are moving, whether that is across the country, to a nearby state, or internationally.

We also highlighted a wonderful property listed by Bettina Monaco in West Warwick. Located in the desirable Greenbush area, this raised ranch is a must see. Located off a quiet, winding road this home has two full levels of living and provides easy access to local shopping and entertainment. The upstairs features a very open floor plan while the downstairs would make an exceptionable in-law sweet or home office. Those who love summer entertaining will make great use of the two spacious decks, which provide a haven on a warm summer evening.

If you would like more information on this property, the home will be open to the public on Sunday, May 1 from 2:00-3:30PM.
