This year, the spring season got off to an unusually late start. However, the shortened season didn’t prevent our agents from capturing a wide array of beautiful submissions for our photo contest. I’d like to thank all of those agents who took the time out of their schedules, especially during such a busy spring market, to visit some of their favorite Rhode Island locations and capture a shot for our photo contest. I would also like to thank all of our wonderful friends on Facebook who submitted their votes and helped us with the tough task of selecting a winner.

Overall, your participation and engagement helped us reach nearly 5,500 people on Facebook and resulted in over 500 votes. The voting got off to a slow start, but finished with a flurry of activity until one finalist finally pulled away from the pack.

It is my pleasure to announce that the winner of the 2018 RPL Spring Photo Contest is RPL Providence Sales Associate, Barbara Dacey with her photo of the “Boots on the Ground” memorial at Roger Williams Park during Memorial Day Weekend. Barbara’s photo respectfully captured the approximately 7,000 boots adorned with American flags and name placards to honor the brave men and women who were killed in action post 9/11 in the War on Terror. The photo received a total of 188 votes, as well as 25 comments, many remarking on the bittersweet, yet beautiful nature of the image.  Congratulations to Barbara on her winning photo. We’re pleased to award you with the grand prize of a free property video and website package.

The 2018 RPL Winter Photo Contest results are in! As always, I’d like to start by thanking everyone who made this contest such a success, including each of you who entered submissions and all of our wonderful friends on Facebook who took the time to submit their votes.

Due to your engagement and participation, this was our most successful contest in the 10+ year history of the competition. The contest post reach nearly 7,000 people on Facebook and received a grand total of 651 votes.

Typically, the winner of the contest is the photo that comes closest to, or eclipses 100 votes. However, this season we had three photos receive over 145 votes each! With that said, one photo was eventually able to separate from the pack and capture the crown.

It is my pleasure to announce that the winner of the 2018 RPL Winter Photo Contest is RPL East Greenwich Sales Associate, Stacy Rastelli with her photo of the Coventry Reservoir. Stacy’s photo beautifully captured a trail of snowy footprints crossing over the bridge and disappearing into the distant setting sun on the horizon. Her photo became the contest’s first entry to ever break the 200 vote barrier, receiving a total of 208 votes.

I would like to thank everyone who participated in the 2017 RPL Summer Photo Contest and helped make it such a success. Thank you to all of our agents who took the time out of their busy schedules to take photos and enter submissions. Thank you to all of our friends on Facebook for reviewing our finalists and casting their votes. And thank you to everyone who shared the contest album with their friends and family. As a result of your participation, this year’s summer photo contest reached over 5,300 people on social media and introduced our page to a wide audience of new followers.

The 2017 RPL Summer Photo Contest featured a collection of five evenly matched finalists. In fact, the top four finalists each finished within less than 25 votes of one another. Despite some other photos jumping out to an early lead, one photo steadily gained votes throughout the weekend and eventually overtook all others to emerge with an even 100 votes. I am pleased to announce that the winner of the 2017 RPL Summer Photo Contest is “Sailboats on the River” taken by RPL Sales Associate Claudia Maiorana. A member of The Friedman Real Estate Group in our Barrington Office, this was Claudia’s first time ever entering the RPL Photo Contest. With her win, Claudia will receive a free website and video package. Congratulations Claudia!
