Sponsored by AdWerx, this prestigious list ranks nearly 14,000 U.S. real estate sales associates from every state based on their excellence in real estate sales during 2017. To be included in the ranking, agents must have closed at least 50 transactions or $20 million in closed sales volume in 2017, while teams must have closed 75 transaction sides or $30 million in closed sales volume.
For Gerri Schiffman and Kevin Fox, this marks their fourth consecutive year on the list, while the sales team of Antrop & Williamson has now earned a spot for three straight years. After appearing on the list for three consecutive years as a member of Markham & DeRentis Associates, Jim DeRentis earned the honor for a fourth year in a row with his first individual recognition.
Among individual agents, Jim DeRentis ranked third in Rhode Island with $63,943,641 in sales volume, while placing fourth in the state with 110 transaction sides. Gerri Schiffman came it at number four in RI with $63,411,177 in volume, as well as fifth in the state with 106 transaction sides. Kevin Fox finished right behind, ranking sixth in the state for sales volume ($31,061,026) and 14th in transaction sides (58). Kira Greene placed 16th in Rhode Island for sales volume ($21,863,008), followed by Nancy Weaver at 18th ($20,867,738), and Rebecca Mayer at 19th ($20,708,561).
Among sales teams, RPL was represented by the Antrop & Williamson Team – comprised of Ryan Antrop, Robert Williamson, Ted Bourque, Sara Heathcote, and Ali L’Heureux. A&W ranked sixth among all Rhode Island teams for sales volume ($33,495,488) while placing 10th in sales transactions (109).

Residential Properties Ltd. is proud to announce that Sales Associate Martha Lapierre has rejoined the company as a member of their Cumberland Office. Martha is a native Rhode Islander who has worked in all areas of the real estate industry for over 25 years. Martha recently sat down with us to discuss her recent return to the Ocean State and reuniting with Residential Properties.
What was it that drew you back to Rhode Island?
First and foremost, it was my family and friends, but it was also all the other people that live here and help to create our unique Rhode Island & New England culture. Being raised in Lincoln and Cumberland, I appreciate the ability to explore our beautiful coastline, hike our hilly woodlands and scenic bike paths, or enjoy some of the best culinary experiences in the country.
After working for other companies, what sets RPL apart and makes it such a unique brokerage?
I’d say the personal interest, caring, and connection of the people who work for RPL is very different. The level of cooperation and consideration between agents elevates your success in the field. It’s great having the ability to reach out to anyone, from the CEO to the COO to the managers and to the wonderful administrators. Immediate attention and response from within is unsurpassed and seldom exists in other agencies. Your success as an agent is their success as a company.
In what ways, if any, did living and working in another state make you a better Realtor?
Creating a new client base and real estate career in another state takes ingenuity, confidence, perseverance and tapping into all the experience you’ve acquired in the field and applying that to a new environment. Starting a career in a new area required me to utilize all the tools and experience I’ve acquired over the years.
What are you excited about most going forward?
After being away for three years and working for a franchise agency, I am thrilled to find that RPL has maintained the highest level of integrity that I remember. I appreciate that the company is a proponent in keeping up and educating its agents in the importance of technology and digital marketing. I am also very excited to rejoin my community and help our friends, neighbors, and new acquaintances achieve their real estate goals.
What are some of your future goals as a member of Residential Properties?
Creating a happy experience while meeting my client’s highest expectations is always my goal.
Do you have any additional comments regarding your recent return, our company, or the real estate industry in general?
I am happy to be back with my RPL family and living in RI with the quality of support, agents and management of Residential Properties Ltd.
