Residential Properties Ltd. is proud to announce the opening of a new office at 376 Broadway on the West Side of Providence, as well as the addition of four experienced Realtors® in Jane Driver, Joe Roch, Kevin Darrow, and Joe Elliott.
Since opening its first office in 1981, Residential Properties Ltd. has quickly grown to become Rhode Island’s largest independent real estate brokerage. Today, the company is comprised of over 180 agents and now has a total of six office locations.
“It has been a dream of mine for years to expand to the West Side of Providence,” remarks RPL President and CEO, Sally Lapides. “It is an area filled with fabulous architecture, delicious restaurants, and hip people.”
To staff the new office, RPL has hired four experienced Realtor’s with extensive knowledge of the local area.
“Jane Driver, Joe Roch, Kevin Darrow, and Joe Elliott have deep roots in the community,” explains Lapides. “They live there and have worked there for years. Our professional real estate advisors, as well as our marketing, are what differentiate us. I look forward to many years of working alongside them and engaging with the community.”
When asking the agents about their recent transition, Joe Roch was eager to express his excitement. “It’s an incredible honor, not only to join Residential Properties, but to also be opening up a brand new office in my home market on the West Side of Providence,” says Roch. “I’m even more thrilled to be making this move with my dear friends and colleagues.”
Among those friends and colleagues is Realtor® Kevin Darrow, who shared Roch’s enthusiasm for the new office. “There’s so much untapped potential across 1-95,” Darrow explains. “I think the committed presence of Residential Properties in that part of town (MY part of town!) will help encourage the already burgeoning growth and development from Broadway to the Armory to Elmwood to Roger Williams Park.”
Darrow went on to say that he is “super excited about all the resources that Residential Properties offers its sales agents, including access to top notch photographers, home staging, and marketing, not to mention relocation services, referral services, and an army of super helpful and knowledgeable administrative staff.”

Jane Driver is very passionate about Providence real estate. She has built a successful career helping people buy and sell homes since the year 2000. Her main focus is the West Side of Providence, the Armory District, and Historic Elmwood. She is a dedicated and honest agent who loves what she does. When she is not assisting clients she is probably working in her garden, fixing up her house, or baking a pie.
Joe Roch is a third generation Realtor® and appraiser hailing from Coventry. Joe’s passion for the visual and performing arts has found an unexpected — and incredibly fulfilling — second life working with Rhode Island’s historic properties. He wholeheartedly believes that our historic homes and neighborhoods are works of art that deserve our preservation and protection. Joe has sat on the board of the West Broadway Neighborhood Association since 2014, where he is co-chair of the Historic House Tour.
Kevin Darrow brings his focused energy and careful attention to all his clients, whether they are seasoned buyers and sellers or first-time homeowners. For years Kevin has helped plan and organize neighborhood groups in an effort to assist neighbors in helping one another. He believes there is nothing better for a community than the fresh zeal and energy that new home owners bring to a neighborhood.
Joe Elliott has been in love with houses, historic preservation, and community development for over 35 years, and proudly brings this passion to Residential Properties Ltd. Joe started his career in real estate in the early 80s. Joe brings with him an excellent knowledge of all the areas of Providence. He enjoys focusing on the Mt Pleasant, Elmhurst, West End, and Elmwood neighborhoods.
Residential Properties Ltd. is proud to announce the addition of Sales Associate Michael J. Sweeney as a member of its Providence office, where he will join RPL Sales Associate Kira Greene to launch the Greene | Sweeney Team.
“I am thrilled to announce the new partnership of Kira Greene and Michael Sweeney,” says RPL President & CEO Sally Lapides. “Individually, each is an extraordinary real estate professional. Together, they will bring their expertise, experience and energy to another of Residential Properties Ltd.’s successful partnerships.”
Growing up on the East Side of Providence, Sweeney got his first real estate itch at the young age of just 11 years old when he accompanied his mother and father to an open house. After attending Wheeler School and La Salle Academy, Sweeney went on to graduate from the University of Rhode Island. Following three years of working in New York, he made the decision to return to Rhode Island and follow his passion for real estate full-time. This past year, he exceeded $10 million in sales, earning the 2017 Circle of Sales Excellence Gold Award.
“If I could dream up the perfect business partner, I couldn’t do better than Michael Sweeney,” explains Kira Greene. “Michael is a genuinely exceptional human being, with real estate superpowers. I know if he were to see a client in my place, I would get a call raving about how stellar he is at his job and what a joy it was to work with him.”
When asked about his decision to join RPL, Sweeney was quick to point out his admiration for Kira Greene as well. “One of the biggest reasons I chose to come to Residential Properties was the fact that I knew I was going to be starting something unique, fresh and brilliant when it came to teaming with an agent I respect and admire. Kira has been someone I have loved working with, someone who’s approach to representing her clients has inspired me to be a better agent, and someone who’s work ethic is unparalleled – which is something I admire very much.”
A native New Yorker, Kira Greene moved to Providence in 1997. Her professional background in advertising, interactive marketing and sales, and client account management allowed her to make a successful transition into real estate. Today, she has earned numerous awards and honors, compiling over $20 million in sales last year while earning the 2017 Circle of Sales Excellence Platinum Award and being named to Real Trends’ list of “America’s Best Real Estate Professionals.”
Despite achieving so much success on their own, both Greene and Sweeney understand the advantages of working as part of a team.
“As partners, we can provide our clients with 24/7 accessibility to the highest level of service in our industry,” explains Sweeney. “Greene | Sweeney is something I feel will benefit any buyer or seller because of our complete synchrony in understanding and truly caring for our clients from the beginning to the end of the transaction, and even after – making this sometimes difficult process fun and comfortable throughout every step.”
Residential Properties Ltd. is proud to announce that Sales Associates Jim DeRentis, Kevin Fox, Kira Greene, Rebecca Mayer, Gerri Schiffman, and Nancy Weaver, along with the Sales Team of Antrop & Williamson, have all been named to the 2018 Real Trends list of America’s Best Real Estate Professionals.
