PBN List Top Five

For the third consecutive year, Residential Properties Ltd. has been ranked as the #1 real estate company in Rhode Island for both number of residences sold and overall sales volume in the recently released Providence Business News List of Residential Real Estate Agencies.

During 2017, RPL led the state with a 1,852 transaction sides, while also finishing the year with a company record $794,854,526 in total sales volume – over $300,000,000 more than the next closest competitor.

“What a thrill it is to be the #1 real estate agency in the state for a third year in a row,” exclaimed RPL President & CEO Sally Lapides upon learning the news. “Thank you to all of our loyal clients, as well as our extraordinary agents, staff, and management who make this possible.”

Founded in 1981, Residential Properties Ltd. appropriately brands itself as “Rhode Island’s Real Estate Company” and has grown to become the state’s largest and most successful independent real estate brokerage, with roughly 180 agents and five office locations.

Over the years, RPL has differentiated itself through its high tech, high touch approach, combining the technology and global reach of an international corporation with the personal touch and local expertise of an independent brokerage. RPL’s website (ResidentialProperties.com) has been ranked as one of the Top 25 real estate sites in the entire country by Real Trends, while the company also recently took home the First Place Award for Video Marketing when competing against brokerages from nearly 70 countries around the globe at the annual Leading Real Estate Companies of the World Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada.

This past week at the Leading Real Estate Companies of the World Annual Conference in Las Vegas, Residential Properties Ltd. became the proud recipient of the First Place Award for Best Video Marketing among companies of between 101-500 agents.

Competing against brokerages from nearly 70 countries around the globe, Residential Properties Ltd. was able to distinguish themselves by producing a wide range of videos, including listing tours, community spotlights, company branding pieces, market updates, agent bios, and more. “Our commitment to marketing properties has always been fresh and creative,” explains RPL President & CEO Sally Lapides. “Video differentiates us from our competitors, providing buyers with the experience of a guided tour of a property, while offering sellers an opportunity for far more engaging exposure.”

The RPL Marketing & Technology Department is currently comprised of eight full-time employees, including Videographers Justin Hebert, Peter Amylon, and Neil Guliano, as well as Copywriter Eddy Giorgi, Technology Lead James LeGeros, Computer Support Specialist Tayana Anaya, Photographer Chris Whirlow, and Manager Stephen Readey. Lapides was quick to express her appreciation for the department, saying “I am so proud of our extraordinary team for being recognized as the best in video marketing at the annual conference of Leading Real Estate Companies of the World.”

As part of a global network connecting buyers and sellers around the world, RPL’s use of video allows potential clients to research communities and tour available listings from anywhere on the planet. Incorporating video into its marketing, along with professional photography, independent property websites, aerial footage, floor plans, staging, and more, has assisted Residential Properties Ltd. in becoming Rhode Island’s top producing brokerage, recording more sales and more gross volume than any other company in the state for three consecutive years (Providence Business News Book of Lists).

Currently, Residential Properties has nearly 1,500 videos available on its website. To view this extensive video library, please visit ResidentialProperties.com/Videos.

Following several days of voting, I am pleased to announce the final results of the 2017 RPL Fall Photo Contest. Before doing so, I would like to thank everyone who made the contest possible, including all of our agents who entered submissions, our wonderful group of finalists, and everyone who took the time to submit their vote and help us with the difficult task of deciding a winner. This year marked the 10th anniversary of our fall contest. We never could’ve have reached this milestone without the help and participation of each of you.

After receiving a large collection of submissions featuring prominent locations throughout Rhode Island, we managed to narrow the contest down to a group of six finalists. Although the finalists each had their own notable qualities, one particular photo separated itself from the rest of the pack, receiving over twice as many votes as any other.  I am pleased to announce that the winner of the 2017 RPL Fall Photo Contest is “Moffett Mill (circa 1812)” taken by RPL Sales Associate Paula Work. As a recent addition to our Narragansett Office, this was Paula’s first time ever competing in an RPL Photo Contest. She entered several submissions, but her winning photo was quintessential New England, combining the rich history of the region with the essence of the season. As our contest champion, Paula will receive a free website and video package. Congratulations Paula!
